Developing custom LedgerSMB extension experience

In summary: adding to or changing LedgerSMB can be extremely easy

For one of my businesses, I needed to create an application to store some data on the services and products we provide. Basically, there would be one central table with some references to a few other tables, mostly to provide (short) selection lists. Also, there's one bigger complexity, because we wanted to link to our customer data.

The customer data is all stored in LSMB, so, developing this database inside LSMB's database seemed like a logical choice.

1.3.11 released

Hi all;

The LedgerSMB core team is pleased to announce the release of LedgerSMB 1.3.11.

The 1.3 branch of LedgerSMB added real security, greatly enhanced payment handling, bank reconciliation, contact management, and more to this project, and began the complete redesign of this application to provide better solutions to accounting questions.

1.3.8 Released

Hi all;

LedgerSMB 1.3.8 has been released. It includes a significant number
of bug fixes. In general most users are better off moving to it
immediately. The complete changelog is below.

1.3.7 released

The LedgerSMB team has released LedgerSMB 1.3.7. The bugfix list is
very long but this release moves the backup tools to the database
administration utility (setup.pl) and corrects a number of other
issues. Additionally default languages can now be set for invoices
both per company database and per customer. The complete changelog
is below.

LedgerSMB 1.3.6 Released

The LedgerSMB team has released LedgerSMB 1.3.6. This release
corrects a significant number of issues involving a couple report
issues, some permissions a couple of translation strings, and more,
and it adds sample XeLaTeX templates for those who may wish to use
